Digital books have many advantages: they are generally less expensive than a hard copy book; they never end up in the landfill, so they are better for the environment; and they are a lot easier to carry around -- who really needs another book in their backpack? There are two downsides to digital books: 1) Not every textbook  has a digital version and 2) you must use a credit card to purchase them.
